It Won't Be Easy

After a Super Bowl title last season and a strong 6-2 start to 2012, the New York Football Giants are in the middle of a big pickle as their season comes down to the final week. They currently stand at 8-7, 3rd in the NFC East, and will need somewhat of a miracle for a shot at a second-straight championship and a third in a six-year span. They have already blown their chances at the division with after being demolished 33-14 by the Baltimore Ravens, so their only chance now is the #6 slot in the NFC, the lowest playoff position.
So here's what needs to happen for a Big Blue Postseason run:
  • Giants defeat Philadelphia at MetLife Stadium on Sunday
  • Redskins defeat Dallas on Sunday night
  • Packers defat Vikings in Minnesota on Sunday
  • Lions defeat Chicago on Sunday
Obviously, this isn't going to be the easiest thing Eli has ever had to swallow. In fact, the chances of the G-Men in the Playoffs at this point are 8.2% out of 100. However, anything can happen. It's the Holiday season (and on that note a Happy Holidays to everyone), and it's the final week where miracles are heroes are born. So, it will be tough, but as the great NY sports icon Yogi Berra one said, "It ain't over 'til it's over!"
