Rangers 2012-13 Season Preview

If you were to ask every NHL fan who they think is most likely to win the Stanley Cup in 2013, most would probably say the New York Rangers. With the addition of Rick Nash and an All-Star goaltender in Henrick Lundquvist, who couldn't think they're gonna be there in May and June? However, with most thinking this, the pressure is on for the Blueshirts. As with any team that plays in New York City, this team will be very-well followed, especially since they're many people's Cup favorites. Most people, including myself, believe that this team can win it all this coming year or the next, if not both. However, one of the best trading GM's in Hockey, Glen Sather has done a great job of getting Nash and keeping the young stars in Dan Girardi, Michael Del Zotto, and Derek Stepan to keep the young swagger of this team alive. However, with getting a great forward like Nash and losing two forwards in Brandon Dubinsky and Artem Anisimov might shake up the lines a little bit, but I don't think it will mean much. Of course, it will be extremely tough for Lundquvist to repeat what he did last season, I believe the Rangers will win the Atlantic and will go at least as far as they did last year, if not farther.
