YA GOTTA BELIEVE!

Although they fell below .500 for the 1st time all season today, I still believe in this team! No one expected us to be over .500 at all this year, and to be over for the entire season until late July is very impressive. The best team in baseball, the Yankees, were under .500 this year! This team has exceeded everyone's expectations and had an amazin' first half and they will not let all that hard work and excitement go down the drain in a 2 week slump. They also have Terry Collins, who has done an outstanding job as manager of this team, getting the most of his players. Please Mets fans, don't give up on this season! They can comeback and make the playoffs, and even if they don't, they have had a magical season and have shown that the fans have reason to believe and look forward to the future. Guys like Valdespin, Murphy, Ike, Tejada, Wright, Johan, Niese, and Dickey have made this season awesome! And when you look back at those names, all of them except Johan and Dickey are young and not even in their prime yet, except Wright who is in his prime. Wheeler and Harvey are 2 players that could make us a playoff team. It won't be long before the Mets are back in October. Despite the extremely bright future that we have, don't give up on this season! The reason the Mets had such success was how close their clubhouse was and how they all pulled for each other and just wanted to help the team win. The guys in that clubhouse are still there. They've hit a rough patch, but I still believe in this season, and so should you Mets fans! Look at teams like the A's and O's, they were in the same position we were at the beginning of the year. They both started hot, hit a rough patch, and now are both in the playoff picture and have been doing great lately. This is just another reason why YA GOTTA BELIEVE!
